Cole’s Pack.

BACKGROUND.

With a reputation for being large in size, the pack was formed over one thousand years ago in England. Since then, it has moved from England to Western Europe, back to England and across the Atlantic to the United States where it finally settled in Los Angeles, where it has been located for over a century. Like any pack that has been around for some time, leadership has changed hands more than once since its formation, with old leaders being killed off or forced out of their positions. Many of the pack members have joined over the years, born elsewhere and joining somewhere along the line, or finding refuge with the group and accepting the offers of permanent membership. There are also those who were born into the pack, and have been with it since childhood. The current Alphas, Cole Stanton and Dia Mantenega have been in power for almost four hundred years, after driving the old leadership pair, Gareth and Alswytha Van Tyle, out of their roles following a series of devastating accidents and near-misses that rocked the pack and lowered its numbers drastically. The pack’s numbers have only continued to climb over the years since, with new members seeking them out or stumbling across their current home, and settling down.

HOME.

Cole’s pack, upon moving to Los Angeles, found and acquired The Hyperion, a large, attractive building that was once a grand, popular hotel. It went out of business before the turn of the twentieth century, whereupon Cole Stanton legally purchased the building and the land surrounding it, continuing to spend what can only be described as a small fortune renovating, refitting and adapting the former hotel to fit the pack’s needs. The pack added a parking lot and generous garage as well as a fully functional basement containment area that houses and protects the young wolves during the full moon’s peak, when they cannot control themselves. The Hyperion comfortably houses all members of the pack, with each able to have their own room, the mates sharing, obviously, and more to spare for new wolves who join their family. It also boasts many social areas, such as the TV lounge, the kitchen and dining room, a spacious courtyard, a fully-stocked library and a well-equipped, soundproofed music room. There is also a large training room for the fighters, with a variety of equipment. Finally, The Hyperion has a flat roof, where many of the pack choose to spend their time, alone or with others.

TERRITORY.

The pack, over the last hundred years, give or take, has managed to acquire and subsequently defend roughly half of the heart of Los Angeles, give or take a block. The Hyperion sits at the heart of this territory, which is patrolled regularly and defended when necessary by the body of fighters that the pack boasts. The territory is home to a good number of rogue werewolves; Cole and the rest of his pack monitor those rogue wolves, and warn, discipline or banish as and when necessary, on a case-by-case basis.
